New Orleans Jazz Club of Northern California
WHAT: Musical society dedicated to the promotion, education and preservation of early New Orleans jazz, including Dixieland, blues, tin pan alley, minstrelsy, ragtime and Chicago swing.
WHEN/WHERE: NOJCNC meets 1-5 p.m. every third Sunday (the fourth Sunday in September) at the Richmond Elks Lodge in El Sobrante, Calif.
WHO’S WELCOME: Everyone. All ages, all backgrounds, anyone who enjoys fun-loving, toe-tapping music from the early 20th century, including fans, dancers, and musicians (who can sit in on the two jam sets each month).
